We believe that all people face various challenges during our lifetimes. These challenges are just a part of living and being human. We do not belive that you should only seek counseling when you are facing a problem.

We take a proactive approach to counseling, social work and psychotherapy. Our starting point is that counseling is one method we can all use to for own personal development – to grow to understand ourselves more, appreciate our strengths, become aware of our weaknesses and learn to relate to those who are significant in our lives whether our loved ones or people withh with whom we have to work daily.

In fact one requirement for all our counselors is that they too go through their own counseling and personal development sessions with experienced counselor, social worker or psychotherapist. You will probably be surprised to find out that most of our counselors would likely have undergone more counseling sessions than yourself.

Whether you have a particular problem you want to talk through or just want to get to understand yourself better, at Oogachaga, we strive to provide a safe environment for face to face counseling.

While we specialise in working with sexual minority clients, we also have heterosexual clients. In fact some of our heterosexual clients come to us because they believe that our working with LGBT clients, can give us a different and perhaps more effective perspective of their own issues.
