Job Title: Programme Coordinator

Job Description: You assist the OC Programme Directors (Honorary) in carrying out and managing the tasks and activities of the various OC programmes. This includes managing the budget and resources required to run these programmes, planning upcoming events, and running OC's volunteer programme. You would also be expected to chair working committees if
necessary, and provide support to the OC Branding team to develop and implement a range of marketing strategies.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 'O' or 'A' Level qualification
  • Relevant experience in events management will be an advantage.
  • Team player with good interpersonal and administrative skills
  • Comfortable with and has experience in sexuality issues

Job Title: Counsellor/ Social Worker
Number of positions: Up to 2
Recruitment Start Date: 1-Mar-08

Job Description: You conduct social intervention programmes to enable LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Questioning) individuals to make informed decisions that strengthen their beings and to achieve a fulfilling life.
These programmes include groupwork/ forum facilitation and face-to-face / internet / helpline counselling. The primary focus for the year would be the MSM (Men who have Sex with Men) clientele. Individual clinical supervision by a family therapist of Counselling and Care Centre will
be provided.


Job Requirements:

  • Degree or graduate diploma in counselling, social work or psychology, with the completion of at least 20 hours of counselling practicum or field placement.
  • Fresh graduates can apply.
  • Relevant experience in groupwork and/or phone counselling, knowledge and skills in programme planning, implementation and evaluation will be an advantage.
  • Comfortable with and has experience in sexuality issues
  • A team player with good interpersonal and leadership skills
