Vacancy for Program Coordinator (New Media and Event) Full time | 12 months contract | renewable

Oogachaga (OC) is Singapore’s largest community based agency that has been providing supportive services to the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Questioning (LGBTQ) communities since 1999. We are also an all-inclusive organisation whose team includes full time staff working together with active volunteers from LGBTQ and straight communities, including Singaporeans and non-Singaporeans.
 
It is our mission to provide counselling and support to the LGBTQ individuals and promote better understanding on LGBTQ issues. As OC works to boost its profile using new media, we are looking for passionate candidates to join our organisation as full-time staff. The coordinator will manage our new media platforms, organise community events and help to expand OC’s presence in Singapore.
 
You will
  • Conceptualise and deliver effective community programs, both online and events
  • Manage Oogachaga’s new media platforms and communication
  • Produce well crafted proposals and timely reports for community programs
  • Develop printed and online material
  • Mobilise and motivate staff and volunteers in achieving program objectives 
  • Assist Centre Manager and other staff in ad hoc projects and program
You must be
  • An Internet-savvy person with keen interest in local and international LGBT development
  • A trend setter who can create and innovate
  • A motivator who can mobilises others
  • An open minded person who enjoys working with people of diverse sexual orientations and gender identity
  • A strong believer in the work of community based organisations
  • Familiar with HTML and Photoshop
  • Basic skills in Illustrator, Indesign and Flash and experience in web content and event management is an added advantage
Other requirements
  • A Singapore Citizen or Singapore PR
  • Holding relevant diploma or above qualifications
  • Able to take on occasional work commitments on weekday evenings and weekends
