Have you ever broken up with someone you loved? Has a friend
or a loved one parted company with a partner and you wish you
knew how to help?
Oogachaga, the non-profit LGBT affirming counseling and personal
development agency together with The Looking Glass, a lesbian
affirming email counseling service are pleased to announce the
fourth workshop in 2005 titled "Living On - Building a Life
Beyond the Breakup"
Come and hear our panel of two gay men (Daniel and Bryan)
and two lesbians (Charmaine and MeiLing) share with you their
own experiences of building a life beyond their own breakups.
The session will be facilitated by Harold, who is in a 13-year
relationship who himself has his own stories to share. What
are the challenges they faced? How did they cope? What did
they learn and how did they grow? Did they leave their pasts
behind or perhaps as Clarence shares, learnt to honor that
past in his latest Fridae article, Living
On.
The panelist will share the lessons they've learnt about
being human, being strong, finding empathy and learning to
love from their unique and yet common journeys. Come hear
them share about their ups and downs, their struggles , their
own healing and the celebration of each others' selfhoods.
The sharing will be followed by a question and answer time
and hopefully we grow together from this mutual sharing.
And what about you? Come and learn together with us and share
your own experiences so that we can grow as a people and
a community.
